I applied in-person. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Bath & Body Works (Herndon, VA) in May 2012
Interview
I went into the local store and told them I was looking for a job, they gave me an application. I could fill it out in the store or take it home and bring it back. I attached my professional resume on top of filling out all the references and etc. After interviewing they called me the next day to tell me they were offering the position. I came in for training the day after that and to discuss my salary.

Easy, basic interview questions. Be able to cite a specific example of a difficult customer interaction and the result of it. Managers like to see enthusiasm and communication skills. Might test you on a product and how you would sell it to a customer, for example using a candle, you get to study the fragrance notes and then you sell the candle to a customer coming in the door.
