There was one panel interview and one interview with the college President. I was contacted quickly after my application was submitted and they seemed very organized, had good questions, and was respectful of my time.

Question 1
How does your past experience qualify you for this position?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bates Technical College in Mar 2019
Interview
Terrible! Disorganized. Unethical questions.
The women had to look towards the one man in the room for approval during the entire process - that looked so bad to me.
The skills test they provided made NO sense - it was very subjective and poorly put together, especially considering it was from HR.
They made me wait to begin the interview - they were very late.
Rushed all the questions - they tried to fit about 20 STAR type questions into 20 minutes, it was ridiculous.
I asked about the benefits involved and they acted very strange in answering me - this was an HR interview ffs!
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bates Technical College (Tacoma, WA) in Sept 2014
Interview
I was given a technical topic to present at my first interview. I arrived a few minutes early and they came and got me right on time.
I was escorted into a small conference room with eight people and I sat at the head of the table. I handed out copies of my portfolio; they presented me with an 'interview agenda'. While they reviewed the packet I gave them, I reviewed the agenda and saw that there were three extremely vague yet difficult technical qurestions at the bottom; questions I knew nothing about. Right about that time, they asked a few introductory questions and gave me access to the whiteboard to do my presentation.
As it turns out, there were no markers - it was a SmartBoard I was not familiar with. I sort of figured it out and move forward with my presentation (with those three questions hanging over my head).
I finished the presentation, sat back down and they proceeded to ask me the three questions. See them, and my answers, below.
After that, it was relatively uneventful as I think I had disconcerted them with my answers. I did have a couple questions for them; they answered, I thanked them and was escorted out.
Sometime I'll have to tell the story of the next step - meeting the College President.

Question 1
What is meant by the term 'endianess'
I had no idea what this meant. I stated that I'd never heard the term before. Later, when they asked me if I had any questions, I asked the person who'd posed the question for the answer, and he stated that it was a way of organizing bytes in sequence. I replied with
"Oh, so you mean like Motorola with the even byte first and Intel with the odd byte?" which he agreed with.
. Not a win, but not a total loss either.
