I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Barclays (Wilmington, DE) in May 2015
Interview
I submitted the application form. A month or two later I heard back that I was selected for a phone interview. The phone interview happened the next day. There were two people interviewing me from the team with which I would be working. It lasted about 30 minutes. I received an offer the next day.
The interview experience was professional and engaging, with a structured yet conversational flow. It felt slightly intense at times, but also thought-provoking and insightful. The questions challenged me to think clearly and communicate my ideas confidently. Overall, it was a valuable and motivating experience that pushed me outside my comfort zone while helping me reflect on my strengths and areas for growth.
The first round in the process is a 15 minute telephone interview with an associate. After that usually an in-office assessment center would take place with many other interview rounds ranging from analyst to partner.
5 rounds, technical interview (brainteaser, discussion about academic projects and previous internship, coding in python, algorithmics, complexity, questions in math, stats and proba, optimization) but also fit interviews (ambition, why markets, why tradingetc.)
