I applied through university. I interviewed at Barclays (Chennai) in Sept 2024
Interview
The interview process began with an on-campus Online Assessment (OA). The OA consisted of MCQs based on C programming, along with coding questions, a Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) problem, and an SQL-based question. The overall difficulty level was moderate. I was able to solve the SQL question correctly and passed 8 test cases in the DSA problem.
After clearing the OA, I proceeded to the technical interview round, where questions focused on core computer science fundamentals, problem-solving, and concepts related to programming, DSA, and databases. The interviewer also discussed my projects and assessed my approach to writing clean and efficient solutions.
The final round was a behavioral interview, which evaluated my communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving mindset, and how I handle challenges and learning in real-world scenarios.
Overall, the process was well-structured and tested both technical competence and behavioral fit.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They mainly focused on my problem-solving approach, especially how I analyzed a DSA problem and optimized the solution, along with basic SQL queries.
Mostly behavioural, a couple of relatively easy technical questions. There was a coding assessment and then a in person interview. Two interviews on the day both a mix of behavioural and technical.

CRM systems architecture how would you go about it
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Barclays (Hong Kong) in Nov 2024
Interview
It was the most horrible job application I have ever done. I completed their demanding coding challenge and their likewise personality assessment, and my application moved to a new phase: "Preliminary Conversations". I then got ghosted henceforth for almost 3 months. After a few days on my application, the role was closed and my application was still stuck. So I emailed the hiring manager for an overview of the job application timeline and was told to wait. I received a rejection later that day, implying that they had already selected the candidates for the job...I realized I had been wasting so much time with their process which is very lengthy and super hard. I feel like Barclays being a big bank, should be transparent during job search and communicate with candidates when certain decisions are made. If you have already hired for a role, be upfront and alert the applicants
