Applied for this position but they sent me an invitation to interview for a more senior position. Decided to attend because HR assured me that the interviewers knew what position I had applied for and there are many roles available. 45 minute Zoom call interview and interviewers in fact had no knowledge of what I had initially applied for. Despite that I thought it went okay but I didn’t get any feedback from the interview even after following up. A simple one line rejection would have been considerate but instead they chose to withdraw from all communication.
