I applied through other source. I interviewed at Bank Rakyat (Malaysia) (Kuala Lumpur) in Apr 2026
Interview
It was short notice and the hr person told me on friday morning. The hr was on leave as well so the person didnt reply my inquiries. Before the interview my interview was delayed for 1 hour plus as there are 2 candidates before me. So needed to wait in the lobby with the other candidate even i arrived on time. The interview was short and easy. They asked my past experiences and the list of clients i have worked with.
Good and having fun, as the interviewer was very friendly and approachable throughout the session, which helped create a relaxed and positive atmosphere. The way the interviewer communicated made me feel comfortable and less nervous, allowing me to express my thoughts and answers more clearly. The questions were delivered in a calm and engaging manner, making the interview feel more like a friendly conversation rather than a formal assessment. This environment boosted my confidence and encouraged me to answer honestly and thoughtfully. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, smooth, and helped me perform better during the interview.

I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bank Rakyat (Malaysia) (Kuala Lumpur) in May 2024
Interview
Firstly, I was informed about the interview less than 24 hours in advance, which I found quite short notice. As a candidate, especially for a first interaction, this didn’t create the best initial impression. Additionally, the interview was rescheduled two hours earlier than originally planned — again, on short notice — and I was the final candidate to be interviewed that day. These factors combined gave an impression of disorganisation and made the experience feel somewhat rushed and impersonal.
Secondly, while I was initially unbothered by the fact that the panel consisted entirely of men, I couldn’t help but notice subtle gestures during the session that suggested frustration or impatience with some of my responses. That, paired with the unexpectedly technical nature of the questions, made the environment feel more intimidating than constructive.
