I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Baebies
Interview
I was first contacted by HR and had a very productive discussion about the position and where the company was heading.
I then went to interview for with a small panel and everything was going great until I realized they misread my university on my resume. The tone of the interview totally shifted and it became apparent that they were no longer interested in asking questions after I corrected them on my universities name which came up during them asking me about how many post-docs our lab had.
I am a first generation college student and, thereby, a first generation graduate student. I worked multiple jobs at the same time while pursuing both my degrees to claw myself and my parent out of our socioeconomic disadvantage. It was not feasible for me to relocate my family to the institution they thought I was from.
It was an incredible disappointment to feel as though I couldn't be apart of this team because of perceived value.
