I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Badger Meter (Norwich, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very pleasant 3 stage interview for Engineer Level 2. Mostly talking about my experience, and situation. Questions were about situations "What do you think about X; How would you handle Y; If this and that are priority, which one do you choose?". Covered what the branch (in Norwich) is and what they do, how it links to the main Badger Meter company. Overall positive experience
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Many personal questions based on my CV/linkedin profile. "Tell me about a time you received constructive criticism; Why are you looking for a new job; Where do you want to go career-wise; Talk about X (specific from CV/linkedIn profile)"
Stage 2 was mostly personal experiences around technologies, but things like "How familiar are you with React and Nodejs?"; "Do you work with CI/CD, what did you have to do?"; "Do you work with containers?"; "What is your sprint process and how do you ensure things that don't work well are improved?"
Final stage, in person with DevOps manager, Dev team manager and PO.
Questions around specifics:
"How do you prioritise speed vs accuracy when delivering work";
"When you disagree with something, how do you make your point across and do you challenge other approaches?";
"How do you stay relevant to the field you're in?";
"How will you lead the team in a new direction? What steps will you take to ensure success?";
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Badger Meter in Sept 2025
Interview
Initial HR Screening, call w/ Hiring Manager, then an in-person interview w/ a case example and meeting w/ upper management. HR Rep was very communicative, ensuring that the process was smooth. Everyone I connected with was very friendly and conversational.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Badger Meter (Milwaukee, WI) in Jul 2025
Interview
Had a first round behavioral interview, which went fine, then a second round technical interview where he asked questions about python and java. I was ghosted after the second interview, despite multiple follow up emails.
