I was invited for an interview around May for the Materials Planner position at BTC Power. When I arrived, the first Gentleman who I spoke to was very kind. He asked relevant questions regarding job experience, how I think I’d be a good fit, etc. I thought everything was going well. This is the point at which the first interviewer leaves to get the second interviewer. The second interviewer then started to read up on my work experience with my resume in front of him, and went on to state that my most current job has no relevance to the job I applied for. He then rudely said he would walk me out, and that the interview was over.
Mind you that my work experience was indeed relevant, and the job in which I was being interviewed for (Materials Planner) was something I literally had a bachelors degree for (Supply Chain/Logistics)
They invited me out to an interview, 45 minutes from my house, only to waste not only my time, but their time as well. If there was no interest in the experience clearly depicted on my resume, what was the point in inviting me out to an interview?
Seems as though they have terrible screening for interviews and they’re desperate for hires, all while the second interviewer has some sort of fantasy expectation of his candidates.
