I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at BRG (Washington, DC) in Feb 2024
Interview
Interview process consisted of a phone screen, a 30 min virtual interview with a Director, and then a 1 hour case assessment with two 30 minute behavioral interviews in person.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The behavioral interviews were typical questions about a time I cleaned a messy data set, what experience I have that is relevant to the specific position, why BRG, etc. All the interviewers were polite and easy to talk to, and their questions seemed very relevant to the day to day responsibilities of the job I was applying for. They also left plenty of time for me to ask questions, which I appreciated.
The assessment was in-person and average difficulty. They gave me a data set and I had to perform coding tasks to answer the questions. This was done in person and the interviewer was very kind and helpful throughout the process.
One recruiter screen, one take-home technical case study, and then one final round with an Associate Director. No tricky questions and the case was also reasonable with 2+ days to work on it. The managing consultant who did the case interview spent over an hour with me during the interview and just got good vibes about the culture throughout.

Question 1
Asked me about my experience working with multiple stakeholders and providing feedback or managing performance of others.
Recruiter phone interview (going through resume, expectations) followed by 3-4 interviews with multiple team members over the next few weeks all completed online. Was then ghosted by the recruiter which felt unprofessional for a firm after multiple rounds of interviews with a candidate.
