This section does not apply to me because i was lifted out from another organization. For new hires, the Bank only works with certain vendors for contract postiions. you will have to make sure that the vendor with whom you are working is on the Bank of New York Mellon's list of approved vendors. The actual interview process and offer will vary, and is controlled at the local group hiring manager level. Make sure you ask that hiring manager about the process.

In the technology group, questions will center around your speciifc knowledge base. For example, a project manager may be asked to aply Agile or SCRUM to a specific development project.

The interview process was quite smooth and quick.
The process started with initial screening followed by 2 technical rounds and 1 HR round.
The tech rounds were conducted by pretty senior people-AVP, VP and directors. My 2nd Tech round was conducted by onshore as well as offshore Panel.

I was contacted on LinkedIn by an internal recruiter. I submitted my resume. I followed up with the recruiter. I reached out several times. Another recruiter called me and set up and interview. The interviewer didn't show for the first 30 minutes. The interviewer was confused and couldn't follow the line of questions or responses.

Pretty easy. Just make sure they are clear what you're responsible for. Sometimes you can find yourself in a role you had no idea you signed up for. But good benefits, chance for advancement.
