I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at BNY
Interview
Was contacted by a recruiter through LinkedIn. Initial phone screen (30 mins) with 2 managers. Went over experience and the questions were directly related to what was listed on the resume. Second round with 5 managers (3 managers at a time), went over work experience, was given a "paper test" with full stack questions (JS, OO Concepts, SQL). Very laid back interview. Conversation focused on my previous work experience and what I can contribute to the team.

Interview
In this AI era, they are still looking for candidates to know the exact syntax and are conducting interviews as if it were 2018. There was zero collaboration during the interview — it felt more like a viva.
The interviewer joined 15 minutes late, gave no introduction, kept the camera off, and asked me to code decorators for a login system. Even after I explained the approach clearly, he insisted on the exact syntax.
An interview often reflects the inner culture of a company.
