      Conductor Trainee Interview

      4 Mar 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Scottsbluff, NE
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BNSF Railway (Scottsbluff, NE)

      Interview

The interview process is pretty basic and straight forward. They explained exactly what to expect. The interview itself is 1 day, but the entire hiring process takes a while. Ignore what other people say about casual dress, it's an interview so dress to impress and make sure your hair is long enough because they often do a hair test the same day they interview.

      Train Conductor Interview

      14 Oct 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Chicago, IL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at BNSF Railway (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2022

      Interview

A woman with no experience actually on the railroad read from a script and recorded my answers. I believe she was wearing a t-shirt. I'm still not sure if I was even interviewing with her or who looked at the recorded answers. It was one of the most awkward, unprofessional interviews I've had in my life.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I can't remember the questions the woman read off the script.
