I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BHP (Houston, TX) in Feb 2013
Interview
The process took long. There are far too many steps they have to take to get the ball rolling. However, once you have the interview it was a good experience. People are nice and personable.

It was a panel interview. I was asked several questions related to behavior as well as demonstrate my financial knowledge. Overall easy process
If you apply for analyst role or such and screened as a potential candidate, be prepared to do an SHL like test first. If you do not pass, you are not selected for an interview. Moreover, the test result will stand for the next 12 months and preclude you from getting through the screening process if you apply for any new analyst position.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BHP (Houston, TX) in Aug 2012
Interview
I applied online through the company website. Two weeks later I received a phone call from HR to setup a phone interview. After the phone interview I had an office visit and interview with a panel of interviews (3-4 people). Before I received an offer I had to take an IQ test along with a drug screening.
