I applied online. I interviewed at BC Nurses' Union (Kelowna, BC) in Jan 2026
Interview
There seem to be multiple interviews to the process. My first interview was via Zoom with someone in Burnaby. It was set up as an introductory and information gathering meeting.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BC Nurses' Union (Burnaby, BC)
Interview
clear and professional interview process. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. From contact to interview day, they were really professional to deal with. I enjoyed how transperent the recruiting process was from start to finish
Started on a professional note and ended in a disaster. After giving a false hope about contacting my referees following an interview, the Assistant did not contact my referees and promptly sent a rejection with zero explanation. It is disrespectful and embarassing to contact your references about a potential call they will receive, which they never do. When I tried to ask what happened, the Assistant was insolent and did not have the basic courtesy to acknowledge the glitch in the process. It is a reflection of how poorly a person can expected to be treated where there is no basic respect in the interview process.

Question 1
The interview was 1.5 hours long and a waste of time in view of the way the situation was managed later.
