I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at B&M Retail
Interview
Applied for new store and was given an interview at local recruitment agency. Waited about ten minutes before I was seen. Interviewed by the manager. She asked about previous experience, what I know about B&Ms (what year it was opened, any other facts. I impressed her by mentioning the stock market). She then asked me about customer service experience, why retail and why B&M's. She told me she'd call me, but said "I am very impressed". Anyway, next day I got a call to go for a trial at another local store, which involved doing some till work and shelf-stacking. Did that for two days, then went to a team-building thing at a hotel. Was very fun and I felt really passionate about the company at first.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at B&M Retail (Stamford, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
Very easy just the basic interview question of tell me about your self and so on. They also ask about flexibility and working hours. Just be flexible. I talked about career progression aswell.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at B&M Retail in Jul 2022
Interview
Interviewer hardly smiled at me during entire process for everything I told she just nodded like she is not satisfied even for on which days you are open to work
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why do you want to work here
what does great customer service means to you
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at B&M Retail (London, England) in Feb 2022
Interview
Pretty simple as a whole. Only asked a few questions about why I want to work in the given role, asked questions about where I worked before and if I was okay with the pay.
