I had the first interview over the phone with an internal recruiter who reached out to me about the role. The recruiter asked a question about my background and while I was answering I got interrupted with: "Oh, I need to ask, are you legally authorized to work in the US?" I have an accent, but I am a US Citizen and she obviously noticed the accent and had to make sure right away! We moved on and continued with the interview, however I got the impression this recruiter felt annoyed or impatient by my accent while I was answering her questions which was uncomfortable.

Goes pretty quick, but when you get insulted by the hiring manager after they spend 25 minutes on the same question and you tell them you have already provided a logical answer, yet get insulted, it just tells me this was just a complete waste of my time. Avoid if possible.
