Initial phone screen, then a technical screen follows. After passing both, I was given the iOS challenge. As you can read in this review, the challenge is very open ended with not a lot of directive. Created an encapsulated, generic solution. I didn't even work on UI as I thought they were trying to see what type of code is generated.
After all the nonsense that I had to go through, I ended up getting a generic rejection letter from the HR manager that I was working with. I emailed her and the 'senior' developer who screened me during the technical portion asking for a reason.
Since I know my code is clean and senior level, the problem must've been with the salary requirements.
Axxess completely wasted my time because I let my salary requirement be known from the first 5 minutes that I've communicated with Axxess. The generic copy and paste rejection email is downright shameless.
I would've only wanted this gig as it's close to home. What I am disturbed about is the time I had to waste on the challenge.
