I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Avidity Biosciences (San Diego, CA)
Interview
I met with a series of team members in addition to the hiring manager plus an initial recruiter screening. I had 2 virtual interview rounds and 1 on-site round. The spacing was over the course of 2+ months and there were several periods where the recruiter said they were revising the job description from the initial posting.

Biotech industry experience, and ability to work in a matrix environment.
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Avidity Biosciences (La Jolla, CA) in Jul 2025
Interview
Interview process was long and drawn out, more designed to screen out than in. Avidity advertised for a staff accountant for months and months, almost seeming more of a method to harvest resumes than hire.
Once I finally got an interview it was kind but clear that without a CPA, I could kick rocks. Even though I could do the work, and had been trained to do so by a more successful company in the same field.
No feedback just a cutting loose afterwards. Even after an email directly to one of the interviewers asking for feedback of what to work on.
They felt cold and unwelcoming.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Avidity Biosciences
Interview
Got a call from a recruiter two months after submitting my resume—it seemed promising at first. A week later, I spoke with the hiring manager, who made it sound like I was a strong fit, especially since there were multiple identical positions open. Then… nothing. I waited three weeks, only to be told they went with another applicant. With four of the same roles supposedly available, they really could’ve communicated sooner. Honestly, it felt disrespectful. At this point, I suspect these were ghost jobs—especially given how similar all the hiring reviews are. Wouldn't be surprised if these listings were just posted for tax breaks. Really disappointing
