      Apprentice Machinist Interview

      17 Jan 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Autocam in Nov 2012

      Interview

First was given an aptitude test. I then had to wait 10 days for them to call me and let me know that they would like to interview me. I met with the General Manager for my first interview. He asked me a lot of general questions. I then got called two days later to set up a second interview. This one was a lot more in depth. They asked questions that varied from my hobbies to my experience with machines I've worked on in the past and how you work in certain environments and what you would do if a certain task presented itself.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What type of machining I've done and how much experience I had with programming.
