I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aurora Innovation (Mountain View, CA)
Interview
Straight forward, but a little confusing when talking about the project. People were eager to help, and answered all the questions I had. The manager was very open as well, while addressing my questions.

Question 1
Create an async call that needs to be aborted in a react component. The async call needs to be run when the app mounts, and should update the array state.
Pretty straightforward and standard interview process. Screening call first with the recruiter. If you pass that you move onto an assignment. There is no feedback if you pass or fail the assignment.

Interview
Overall, I had a very positive experience. The interview process was well-structured, and the interviewer created a comfortable environment to discuss both technical and problem-solving aspects. I appreciated the focus on real-world scenarios, which allowed me to demonstrate my skills effectively
I applied online. I interviewed at Aurora Innovation (Mountain View, CA) in Mar 2026
Interview
3 rounds of interviews: recruiter, hiring manager, on-site. Recruiter screen was very quick and easy, HM was 30 minutes mostly behavioral questions. The on-site took 2-2.5 hours and contained 3 interviews (critical thinking, analysis, communication) with 3 members of the team. Everyone was very nice and questions were mostly situational and behavioral. Did not get the offer, so I was a little annoyed I had to drive 2hrs to the on-site with no compensation.
