I recently went through the interview process for a receptionist role, and it was a pretty straightforward experience. It started with a phone screening where they asked about my availability, experience, and why I was interested in the role. After that, I was invited for an in-person interview at the office, where I met with the hiring manager. They asked a mix of questions about my previous experience handling phone calls, greeting earners, and managing multiple task . There were also some situational questions, like how I would handle a difficult visitor or a busy front desk. The atmosphere was professional but friendly, and they seemed focused on finding someone who could stay organized and maintain a welcoming presence. I left feeling like the interview went well.
