I applied while still in nursing school (senior year, second semester). I went to their career website and they specifically had a section for new grads. I submitted my application and posted a resume. I don't remember the amount of time between submission and my first phone call, but it was an HR recruiter who interviewed me via telephone. She told me about the different areas that had job openings, we discussed the typical interview questions and we narrowed down the job opening lists to three options for in person interviews. We set up a date that worked for me (I would be coming from out of state) to have all 3 interviews. I went to 2 of the 3 because one of them ended up being filled prior to me coming. Both interviews were initially with the floor managers. Because they knew I was not from the area they went ahead and called people from the floor to do a peer interview with me. One floor I knew I would not like there and a peer interview did not happen with them. I had barely got out to the parking deck and the HR recruiter was calling me saying the manager on the one floor that I did like and had a peer interview with wanted to extend me a full-time position! I was thinking that's great or they're very disparate! Turns out it was a little of both (well disparate is a bit too strong) but I have enjoyed working there and it's been a great fit!
