I initially applied online and within a day or two, I received an email from the recruiting manager. We had a brief discussion on the phone and then set up a phone interview with the director of prod mgmt. Had the phone interview and discussed my background etc. Discussed ideas on how to improve their mobile applications. Was told in that phone interview that they wanted to bring me in for an onsite and was asked to prepared for a specific discussion around how a certain engagement tool could be used to improve the experience for the mobile app.
Fast forward to the in-person: Arrived on-time, but no receptionist and way to actually get into the building. Seemed very disorganized. 45 Min interviews one after another with 5 team members. They were all really nice and courteous, but all seemed overly concerned with process. Each interview was completely different. Some seemed rushes at times, some interviewers were not prepared with questions. The aspect that they asked me to prepare for was never really discussed in length. Final interviewer with dept. head was very rushed. A follow-up was asked of me after interview to send "Why Ask.com" answer to dept. head. I've never had an interviewer ask me to finish the interview offline. Recieved feedback a few days later stating I was a great candidate but no real feedback on why I was not given an answer. Points to the HR manager who guided me through the process, he was amazing throughout.
