After applying through Aryeo's career page, I received an email from a member of the hiring team asking me to complete a series of 4-5 questions regarding my interest, experience, etc... before I would be moved on to an interview. I was given a deadline of 2 days to complete the questions, which I did. After not receiving any response based on my email submission, a couple of weeks later I received an email (addressed to a different candidate) thanking that candidate for their time meeting with the team, and stating they were moving on with other candidates. Within a couple of hours, I then received the same email (properly addressed to me this time) thanking me for meeting with their team to discuss the role, but said they would be moving on with other candidates. Not only did I find the slight mistake of sending the wrong candidate rejection to me slightly unprofessional, I also was never even given an opportunity to speak or meet with anyone from the Aryeo team, as my rejection email had suggested. I certainly understand when there are better candidate fits for positions; however, please make sure you send the rejection letter to the correct candidate, and ensure that the details in the letter are accurate. If you have not met or spoken with a candidate, then the letter should not thank the candidate for meeting with the team. I found this application process unorganized and unprofessional. This could be partially due to the fact that the individual I was interacting with does not appear to be in HR or a Talent Acquisition role, but if this is how the company is interacting with prospective applicants, it does not send a very positive message about the hiring practices or culture of the company.
