I had a brief interview with the recruiter. Then I had 2 panel interviews with current SDR's. I then was recommended to interview for another position while continuing the SDR interview process. I had a Slack interview as well as a third interview over Zoom. The last interview was with their people and culture Manager and I also had a final project. They ended the other interview process because I was getting close to an offer. I then received a "tentative offer" and they needed to do a reference check. As I was a top performer and a positive person at my previous company, I felt great about my references. All 3 of my references said they put in great feedback. Over the weekend I got a completely vague email response saying they decided to go in a different direction from the original recruiter. I was completely confused as I was genuinely led that a formal offer would be presented. I then got another vague email from the hr manager. She said that further input from their end they felt it would no longer be a good fit. No real feedback, nothing for me to take with me to learn from, and basically made left me clueless and in awe. The people I met were amazing, I am sure the company is great but something drastically changed and I have no answers. Feedback for their hiring managers and HR: I would be careful with "tentatively offering a position", have a better system in place for who is the point of contact and don't have someone interview for two different positions at the same time. Articulate really got me excited and my hopes up that my job search was over. It was not and I've learned not to get too excited. I wish them well, and I hope they find the right sales person.
