Lengthy, inefficient - 5 interviews and then it took over a month for them to follow up after completing. They offered the job and onboarding took over a month. Ended up getting another offer while “onboarding” and accepted that instead.
I interviewed at Armstrong World Industries (Lancaster, PA)
Interview
Had a screening call with Recruiter - Screening call with hiring manager - Followed by on site visit with interviews and technical test. The interview process was structured and the talent acquisition team was great with communication.

Question 1
Describe a time when you had to manage multiple projects at the same time and any issues that arose and how you dealt with the issue.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Armstrong World Industries in Oct 2025
Interview
I've been to three overall interviews, one by phone 15min, one on a video call 45min and one in person 1.5h. During all the steps I was encouraged and told I'm doing great so I felt very confident. The process of the interviews took about a month as at each step the head office has to contact you to book the following meeting. After the las interview which happened in person with 3 different people that ask pretty specific and confusing questions I was told that it will take about 2 more weeks for a decision to be made. Now my issue is not the long process, this is normal and the people I've done the interviews with were very pleasant and appeared very sincere and nice. My issue is that I was told I would be contacted at a certain date and no one ever contacted me. I was looking forward for an answer and no one had the curtesy to let me know I did not get the position or even answer any of my (3) emails I have sent for clarification. I don't think I have ever been treated like this after an interview. After that I noticed the position reposted so I assume no one got the position.
Really uncalled for behavior from such a large scale and respected company.
