I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Arista Networks (Burnaby, BC) in Feb 2019
Interview
I attended a local event at Arista workplace in Burnaby and met the recruiting team. Then, I connected with some members and forwarded my Resume. I got a call from them in 1 week and we scheduled an interview.
My interview was not hard, but it was not fast enough in getting to the solution that would work given the constraints. So, I got a email later from them saying I didn't passed the first interview.
they don't ask any behavioural questions in the first one and it's all about coding and passing the test cases, fast enough. Also, show them the thinking process, so talk it out loud!!
Overall, the interviewer was nice all the time and he helped in some places as well. It was not a hard interview but some speed is required.
I had a done a lot of Data Structure and Algorithm practice but didn't got asked any of those. I guess those questions are saved for the next interviews.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
A Tracing of the code to find the output. Questions were regarding pointers and their *(ptr +i) kinda output
Pretty good, not too complicated, was comfortable. Mostly LC questions, and was easy enough that you should be able to do it after doing NC150. good luck for the interview!
Starts with online test, then three rounds of technical interviews follow.
Not a lot of discussion, just go straight to the technical challenges which have to be solved in time
I interviewed at Arista Networks (Warsaw, Masovia)
Interview
By now I have had only first interview, that was focused on pure DSA. Despite that I would already recommend checking out gdb, cause it came in handy in my case.
