I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Argus Media
Interview
At least 2-3 rounds depending on the department you are joining to evaluate experience, interests, technical knowledge (where applicable) and most importantly the fit both culturally and professionally. I think its a good place for anyone interested to break into the commodity markets as you will learn a lot. The feel from the hiring team was very friendly, positive and collegial. Genuine keenness to develop and train new hires. The roles are generally very collaborative and they will have overlaps between editorial, analysis and consulting. If you are a good candidate, they will try to keep your profile on file for future positions and consider you more favourably especially if they like you and think you're a good fit (and even though you aren't exactly from the industry of the commodity you applying for).
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why Argus? Why (this position)? Why this commodity? Career path? Interest and motivation? What do you like about the role/company/sector? What are your past experiences? Plus points if you can what you think you will be doing in the role you are applying for (they have a reporter-editor-analyst-research kind of setup which is sometimes a misnomer and can be confusing).
General questions based on resume. Followed by a 450 to 500 word write up and a Maths test. Once the written test and Maths test is cleared next row interview is conducted by the Singapore office
