      Technical Program Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Archer (San Jose, CA) in Sept 2025

      Interview

I received an email to schedule my availability for an interview. I had an initial interview with an engineer, who was very pleasant and easy to talk to. This round went fairly well. I did not hear anything else until a couple of weeks later, when another email to schedule my availability for the next round with the hiring manager. When I called into this round, the hiring manager did not call in at all. I tried reaching out to the recruiter, but they were completely unresponsive. A couple of days later, I received an email to reschedule the interview for later that week with no explanation or apology. I called in later that week, and the hiring manager texted me that he would be 15 minutes late. He called in 20 minutes late to a 30-minute call, with a hard stop at the 30-minute mark. He then asked to set up another meeting the next Monday, first thing in the morning. When I called in to this call, I texted him after 20 minutes to see if we need to reschedule. He asked to reschedule to the next hour. He then called in 10 minutes late, and the call lasted 20 minutes in total. I received a rejection email a couple of weeks later. Throughout this entire process, the recruiter was completely absent, only sending either automated or copy-and-paste messages, without any response to my follow-up emails. I found the communication in the whole process to be very poor and unprofessional.
