I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Aptiv (Bengaluru) in Oct 2018
Interview
It was a walk in interview. It was well organised in general but they were confused about my profile and I was fitting into both the job profiles up for offer on that day. I was interviewed by both the teams and finally the managers of both the team addressed me together and gave me details about the work so i could decide where my interest lies.
The HR interview was on the same day, which i found was very trans parent and honest, as was I. He even gave me some pointers about career path.
The offer release process was really slow. Took one month to come up with the offer which was a lesser than what was discussed earlier. I am still waiting to hear from them again about the counter offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were related to basic c++, sorting, function overloading, singleton, mutex/semaphore, deep copying etc. But the questions were not straight forward, you needed to think to come to the answer which would be one of the concepts mentioned earlier.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aptiv (Agoura Hills, CA) in Jan 2025
Interview
Three rounds interview. First round talked with HR for general questions, second round with software manager to talk about resume and also test simple coding and debug questions. Third round with two software engineers for screen coding questions.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Q: Can you find the problems for these codes? (few C++ functions)
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Aptiv in Jan 2021
Interview
There were three rounds with different people: hiring manager, experts on the subject and recruiter.
Everything was remote and different hypothetical situations were discussed to ask for the domain questions (interrupts, OS, memory management).
