Before you even get interviewed, you're put through a 2.5 hr algorithm coding challenge. Algorithms are quite annoying as they don't show the skills of the applicant but it's something companies have stolen from FANGS thinking it's the right approach. I go through this challenge with all passing code and they completely ghost me until I prod for feedback, after which a canned message was sent about "we've received a large number of applicants", blah blah blah. In most companies who want to be thoughtful of applicant's time, at least look at the resume and have a preliminary talk with people you actually want to interview, then give them a coding challenge. This was a waste of my time, time I could have used for companies that were actually interested in my resume.
