I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Applied Research Associates (Fort Walton Beach, FL) in Mar 2022
Interview
Interview was simple, I felt they were less worried about what I actively knew and were more worried about that I could learn. Questions asked were more related to general topics and If I knew the concept and If I did how I had applied that in the past.
I applied online. I interviewed at Applied Research Associates in Nov 2023
Interview
An hour-long interview with two managers. The interview was a video call and consisted of behavioral and technical questions to gauge your experience. Overall, friendly and easy to talk to but I did not receive a response.

Question 1
What is your experience with simulation programming?
I interviewed at Applied Research Associates (Raleigh, NC)
Interview
The process lasted approximately 6 weeks. Initially, I had a phone interview with a friendly and informative engineer which lasted for about an hour. It was a straightforward interview, and I recall being asked a question about finding the equation of a line passing through two given points on a x-y coordinate. After four weeks, I heard back from them for a final interview, which lasted for 3 hours. I had the option to choose between an in-person or an online setting. The interview was divided into four parts. The first part was a 15-minute presentation about one of my relevant projects to the position I was applying for. The presentation was followed by a Q&A session. The second part was a debugging round, where I was given a program and asked to share my screen to identify and explain the errors on the console. The third part required me to solve some math problems, which weren't particularly difficult but required some thinking. The final part was a conversation with a hiring manager. Overall, I found the process to be interesting and enjoyable.

Question 1
What programming language do you find comfortable using?
Applied online, was emailed for an interview done over webex. Started casual, asking about experience and personal projects, then got into pretty tough technical questions considering this was a junior position.
