An external recruiter has contacted me. I had a pre-screen call with them and another introductory call with the company's HR, after which I received a tech task as the next step. I started working on the tech task, but before I finished it, I received a call from an external recruiter who contacted me about this position. The company suggested stopping the recruitment process. A bit of extra Information. I'm Ukrainian. It's already 6th month of a full-scale war and invasion of russia over Ukraine. Of course, I mentioned at the beginning that I cannot work with russians in the same team, and I won't accept if the company pays into russia. The company's HR answered me on the call and said that she understood it and that it won't be an issue. But the company decided to stop the recruitment process because they've recently hired russian to the team. Consider twice if you'd like to join the company that would hire russian over Ukrainian.
