      Business Process Analyst Interview

      24 Feb 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Aon in Feb 2017

      Interview

I applied online through my university's job portal, submitting both a cover letter and resume. Heard back within a week to set up a HireVue interview online. I was told to record my interview at any time within the span of a week, which was nice. The HireVue experience was uncomfortable. They ask you to dress in business professional, and record all of your responses via your webcam in an "auto-record" fashion. You first see a video of an Aon rep asking the question, and then your webcam automatically begins recording your response after a short time. The interview is challenging/awkward because you receive zero live feedback, meaning that any conversational cues are removed. At least during traditional interviews, you can better gauge how the interviewer is reacting to your responses. HireVue explains that you will receive a mix of multiple choice, written response, and verbal response questions. Multiple choice questions are basically your standard "do you have protected veteran status?" inquires and requires no critical thinking on your part. Written response is designed to gather a writing sample (there is only one of these questions). Verbal responses are the typical behavioral and situational interview questions. Questions (not written below) include: -Tell me about a time when you have worked on a team. What was your role? -Tell me about a time when you have experienced multiple deadlines approaching at the same exact date. How did you prioritize? -Please describe positive and negative feedback you have received from your past employer. -Why should we choose you for the position? -On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your written and verbal communication skills? (This is the written response question)
