I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Anytime Fitness (Moorhead, MN) in Dec 2018
Interview
Brief and placed in some what uncomfortable position with mock client. Forced to develop a workout on the spot when the company provides workout programs to trainers. Also forced to give fake evaluation of the "new client" which does not play a part in the job description and is actually done by sales manager of gym. Whole mock training process pointless for the personal trainer position.
It was very easy. There were three interviews conducted: there was one phone interview, then one zoom interview, and then finally, one in person interview where you meet the staff.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Anytime Fitness (River Falls, WI)
Interview
One phone screening and one in person interview with live skills assessment/demo. Took the manager through a quick workout and acted as a personal trainer with a basic exercise to analyze my coaching style
The interview was very friendly, and they were very understanding and open-minded. The staff was very understanding regarding my situation being a student and said that they will still keep me in mind when I am done with school.
