I was a passive candidate. We had the typical first call just to see if there's interest and if it's worth moving forward. After our conversation, I was definitely interested, and they said they'd get back to me by end of week or beginning of next week with next steps. By end of the following week, I had heard nothing, so I pinged them. Silence. Waited another week, then pinged again. More silence.
They explicitly stated that they don't have many open positions, so it's not like they're drowning in applicants. It's really simple to send an email saying "no thanks", especially if you say you're a "people-first" company. They had already used three different ways to contact me, so there was no excuse for ghosting me.
