      Research Project Manager Interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at AnswerLab (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2018

      Interview

I submitted an application online and a recruiter reached out a week later. She asked me pretty standard interview questions like "Walk me through your resume" and "Why AnswerLab". The next round was a web interview with the hiring manager who mostly chatted about the position and asked other qualification questions. After speaking with the hiring manager, I was given a homework assignment that was reflective of the day to day responsibilities. This was so the hiring manager could see if I could do the job and also for the applicant to gauge if they would actually like the regular tasks for this position. After they approved my homework, I was invited to an onsite interview at the SF office. The most frustrating part was that the interview for the onsite was pushed back and changed several times due to conflicting schedules and construction in the office. As for the actual onsite, I had 3 video interviewers and met 2 people in person. They allowed a 15 minute break between each interview which was nice but it prolonged the interview process and I felt like I was there longer than I needed to be. The interview was probably 3 hrs long and I definitely ran out of steam and brain power at the end.
