The selection process for the Supply Chain Intern role began with a mandatory pre-placement talk (PPT). Attendance in this session was compulsory to be considered for further rounds.
After the PPT, a total of 72 students were shortlisted based on their resumes for the Group Discussion (GD) round. The candidates were divided into groups of 8, and from each group, only 2 candidates were selected, leading to 18 students moving forward to the interview round.
During the Group Discussion, the panel asked each group to mutually decide on a topic that aligned with the interests of all 8 members. The panel evaluated candidates on the basis of:
Clarity and strength of points
Quick thinking and logical reasoning
Confidence and fluency in English
They discouraged interruptions, repetition of ideas, and unnecessary domination during the discussion. The focus was on meaningful contributions, active listening, and team dynamics.
I was fortunate to be selected for the interview round. During the interview, the panel asked:
Fundamentals of supply chain management
Role-specific questions
Puzzles and logical problems
Basic questions related to business, markets, and finance
Unfortunately, I was not selected in the final round. The feedback indicated that I lacked sufficient knowledge in areas such as finance, business understanding, and company-specific insights.
