      Director Interview

      19 Jan 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Anheuser-Busch InBev (New York, NY)

      Interview

Unprofessional. Applied online and a had a phone screen with HR. They put me on through to a video interview with the hiring manager. He didn't show up to the interview so I e-mailed HR to see what happened. HR said something came up with the hiring manager, they're looking to reschedule, and HR promised to keep me in the loop. Radio silence and then HR then sent me a rejection e-mail a couple weeks later. Bad communication all around.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Anheuser-Busch InBev (New York, NY) in Aug 2024

      Interview

"The interview process started with an introductory conversation with HR. The next round was scheduled with the hiring manager. The hiring manager canceled an hour before the interview, no explanation. I sent a note to HR to inquire about the cancellation, no response. Three weeks later, I received a response from HR to move forward with an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring process is broken at AB and should be evaluated by the head of HR. The HR representative responded to exactly zero emails / follow-up notes. Seemed very lazy and unprofessional. Lacking basic communication skills, which is not usually a skill trait that I would expect from someone who is representing the company externally. Hopefully, this is an isolated problem and not prevalent within the organization, but hard to say.

      Director Interview

      22 Mar 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Anheuser-Busch InBev

      Interview

A recruiter reached out and upon further discussion with the hiring manager, set me up with an initial interview. After speaking with the hiring manager, I was tasked with a prompted writing sample before moving forward in the process. Upon review of that, I was then set up with interviews with multiple team members. For preparation, I was told to watch a 30-minute video and read a 100-page report prior to the interview. Most interviews were <30 minutes, leaving barely any time for me to ask questions. I experienced unprofessional behavior by an interviewee, lots of red flags throughout the process, and a very clear masculine culture. After dedicating hours of my time to this process, I was told there was a specific trait they were looking for, which they could've identified from the start at the resume review process. Another example of a long, corporate interview process that just wastes candidates time.
