Well somehow what I originally wrote got deleted because I told the truth. So here we go again.
The phone screening was just fine even though the interviewer wanted to “coach” me out to a creative role (which I didn’t meet their requirements for). Other than that, I communicated just fine.
Made it to the 2nd round on video conference, what was supposed to be a hour long interview with managers, instead I was speaking with the recruiter just for her to be asking me the same questions from the first interview. I was shocked to see she was wearing a hoodie. I was very confused all together. I continued answering her questions again. But as we’re going through the interview she kept insisting that I didn’t know what the job entails but it’s a entry level sales position with training. I rather the 2nd interview be cancelled, because otherwise they got to put a face to a name and suddenly it’s a “no thanks”. There was definitely something off that happened between time, I have a squeaky clean record. I received a rejection phone call first thing in the morning the next day. I’ve been unemployed for 4 years, it brought me to tears instantly because it doesn’t sound like I have a fair shot. To add insult to injury, I got a rejection email later that same evening. They want me to re-apply in the next 6 months. Maybe they outsourced a recruiter but I do know it was flat disrespectful and unprofessional.
