1. Call with Director of Software Engineering -- The interviewer was great and knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the position does not match the responsibilities. They are actually looking for a hands on Principal Engineer, not a Sr. DevOps Engineer, and they want to underpay this person about $50K - $85K from market rate. They expect 24/7 availability and for the person to do the responsibilities of 3-4 different people. Told them that I would not be interested at that rate unless they dropped the requirements for the position to an actual Sr. DevOps or they increased the pay to match a proper Principal Engineer. They told me they were not willing to pay more or drop the asks.
