I applied online. I received a call the next day to set up a meeting whenever I was available. The first interview was with the CEO and it lasted about 15 min. She explained how the company had growned and who their clients were. She asked if I was interesting in being an event assistant (thinking it was for actual events for theit clients like conventions, parties, etc). She said I would be called back if I made it to the second interview. I got a call two days later confirming I had passed to the next stage and they made me go to a different location than their office. When I arrive it turns out the interview was in a Sam's Club. I met with the "event manager", where she asked me about myself and if I knew what direct marketing was (uh oh). Then she procedeed to show me what the job was about. We stood in the middle of Sam's Club as she stoped customers in order to sell them $70 pillows. She made me take notes on how she did that and then we had to discuss the notes.
After the second interview she told me she was going to talk to her boss and decide if I should move to the third and final interview. I got called back but I declined the offer. I had not signed up to work in direct sales in a Sam's Club.
