I was shortlisted for the role of Digital Marketer at Ampleforth College. The company has a policy of seeking references prior to the interview. The interview was split into two parts. At 9:30 I spoke to an HR person to demonstrate my right to work. The main part was scheduled to last from 16:30 until 17:30. The panel consisted of three people but one was the lead. There was no note taking and the order in which the questions were asked was odd. The lead was skipping from one thing to another. After 25 minutes the panel started to shut down the interview. The last question was unrelated to the job and the interview lead made me feel uncomfortable when they twisted my words to question my dedication. Throughout the interview, the panel did not bother to show one ounce of interest in me as a candidate. It was done unprofessionally and I resent the fact that they wasted my referees’ time. Do not bother applying if you want to be treated like a professional.
