I met the chairman at a company function. He was impressed with me so he asked me to come in and talk with him about a grants acquisition project he wanted his organization to pursue. I met with Martha and gave her a written proposal and summary of the research I had gathered on the project. We talked about the project and another project she was interested in pursuing. I stayed for a meeting with management staff and during the course of the meeting, it came out that the organization really needed an internet marketing manager. I was asked at the meeting if I was interested in that position. I went home and prepared a written proposal that detailed what steps I would take to resolve the current issues and emailed that to the IT Manager. He met with the Chairman and requested a proposal detailing the salary and schedule I wanted to work. I emailed the proposal to the the IT Manager. I received an offer that afternoon.
