The process took 1 week. I interviewed at American Eagle Outfitters in Oct 2010
Interview
The interview was pretty short. It only lasted about 20 minutes. They were doing a lot of interviews because they wanted to hire for the holidays. They said they were looking to hire quite a few people for the holidays but would only keep a couple people after that. Then after a couple quick general questions they had me take a personality survey. This survey consisted of about 200 different adjectives and I had to choose the ones that described me, and then choose the ones that I thought would be appropriate for working at AE.

It was very easy as I knew someone who worked there. They got me an interview and asked me basic questions. They verbally gave me an offer on the spot and I got a offical offer a week later.
