Standard interview. Went very well. We talked about other situations after the interview. Had really good vibes with the hiring manager. After the interview, he walked me out, said I did really well in the interview. Again, we talked about other job related issues. He said he appreciated my honesty and that I will be hearing from the recruiter soon. A week goes by, then I get a phone call from the recruiter. She said they wanted to update me, that I am going to be receiving an offer soon. It is in the finance department now where they are working up the salary portion of the offer. She said I will be receiving the offer in a day or two. Another week goes by, no offer sent. The recruiter calls again, this time telling me that the company has decided not to fill the role and I will not be receiving the offer. Way to get someones hopes up just to pull the rug out from them.
