I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (London, England) in Nov 2022
Interview
An interview process which uses a lot of a candidates time (5 x 1 hour interviews so had to take a day off work) and didn’t care about getting to know a candidate and whether they’d be a good fit for the team/company. Also didn’t allow for any scope for you to get to know the team/if the role would be a good fit for you. Was pushed to reveal confidential information which wasn’t necessary for proving my aptitude. Interviewed for a role at one of the other top 5 companies with 2 x (still strenuous) 30 minute interviews and a session to meet the whole team virtually. No guesses which role I picked in the end!

Interview
Two screening phone interviews followed by a loop with five interviews in one day. Found it to be very efficient. The loop day was long but I preferred that to interviews spread out over several days.
