I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services in Mar 2022
Interview
8 conversations in total. All of them were successful. In the end, I was told I had made it through the interview process brilliantly, but they wanted to offer me a different position, more applicable to my background. However, this position implied a 30% lower salary. All of this despite the fact my salary expectations had been indicated and were absolutely fair. After I refused and made some comments, the HR person stopped replying. What a joke and waste of your time.

Behavioral interview questions - Amazon STAR questions
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amazon Web Services (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
The interview process was significantly delayed due to poor coordination and internal miscommunication within the HR team. It took several weeks to schedule what was described as a phone screen but turned out to be a virtual meeting via Chime. The interviewer appeared disengaged, made minimal eye contact, and asked few standard interview questions, giving the impression that the meeting was merely a formality. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and unproductive.
5 subsequent interviews on same day which can be quite time consuming in terms of preparation and development. Important to understand Amazon leadership principles and prepare accordingly. X y z
