I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Altium Limited (Belgrade, Central Serbia) in Oct 2024
Interview
Unlike most of the interviews I had in Belgrade, that one was exceptionally bad. Their recruiter wrote me on Linkedin first, asking for the meeting. During the call, that person (half of my age) out-of-nothing played arrogant and unproffessional. She was literally saying nonsense like "it's a privilege to work here" etc.
Then, Altium's way to assess competency is a home assignment, a lengthy one. During the same call I pointed out that:
1) I have lots of public activity for a preliminary assessment of my skills and knowledge,
2) I would rather go for on-site interview, as their office is just a 10-minute drive from my place, and
3) I would like to talk to a tech person first, raise some questions to ensure that assignment is not a total waste of MY time.
Yet that particular HR person didn't care. No big deal, I wouldn't bother with a home assignment anyway.
Again, the overall experience was surreal. About the same time I got an offer from a big tech company in the same area, and those guys had manners and common sense. Altium did not.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Altium Limited (Bengaluru) in Sept 2024
Interview
4 rounds totally.
First round HR, Second Round Team lead, Third round Director, Fourth round VP. Followed by face to face salary negotiations. It’s not a very difficult interview. You can crack it easily.

Question 1
Explain about your job role and how do you manage daily activities
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Altium Limited (Hamburg) in May 2024
Interview
I enjoy structured, multi‑stage processes because they give both sides a clear, balanced view of fit and capability. Each step brings a different lens: the early conversation sets expectations, the deeper discussion tests judgement and approach, and any practical exercise shows how I work under real conditions. It creates a straightforward way to understand whether the role, the team, and my style align. That clarity tends to lead to better decisions on both sides.

Question 1
They asked me to talk through a recent situation where I’d taken ownership of a complex account issue and moved it to a stable, productive place. The focus was less on the mechanics and more on how I think, communicate, and keep stakeholders aligned when the pressure is on.
